Pricing, luggage, changes and children travelling alone — answered

These are the questions we're asked most. Every answer reflects what we actually do — no fine print, no surprises. Anything else, just call us.

QIs the price on the website final? Will there be extra charges later?

The total shown on the website is the final amount you pay. It already includes all applicable taxes, tolls and airport-related fees. The quoted total excludes waiting time beyond the free allowance ($1 per minute, collected by the driver on site), extra services requested during the trip, and damage charges. Gratuity is entirely optional: pay the driver directly or choose an amount online after the trip. The driver receives 100% of tips.

QWhat happens if my flight is delayed?

You're covered. Airport pickups include 90 minutes of free waiting, counted from your flight's ACTUAL landing time, not the scheduled one. A delay is not treated as a cancellation — we simply re-time the pickup to your real landing, at no rescheduling fee. That's why the flight number matters at booking: it's how we track you.

QHow long will the driver wait, and what happens after that?

Airport pickups: 90 minutes free from actual landing. Drop-offs, city pickups and everything else: 15 minutes free from the driver's arrival. Beyond that it's $1 per minute, collected by the chauffeur on the spot — it never appears on your online bill. If the free waiting runs out and we still can't reach you, the driver may leave and the trip is treated as a no-show.

QHow many passengers and bags fit?

The standard SUV seats 4 with 4 large bags. The 7-seat minivan and the luxury SUV each seat 6 with 7 large bags. Enter your passenger and luggage counts at booking and the system picks the vehicle that fits everyone and everything at the lowest price — upgrading the class or adding a second vehicle automatically when needed. It's all priced before you pay, never sprung on you at the curb.

QIs this a private car or a shared ride?

Airport transfers, point-to-point private rides, interstate transfers and private charters are exclusive to your booking and are not shared with other customers. The separately labelled Shopping Group Shuttle is a shared group product; check the service type before purchase.

QCan I cancel? How do refunds work?

Cancel more than 48 hours before pickup: full refund, no fee. Within 48 hours: no refund. No-show: no refund. If your flight is cancelled and you want a refund rather than a new time, we refund minus a 10% fee: we initiate the refund to your original payment method within 48 hours, and it usually arrives within 5 to 10 business days. If we cancel (for example, weather makes the trip unsafe), you're refunded in full. Full terms are in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

QCan I reschedule? Does it cost anything?

More than 48 hours before pickup you may reschedule once, free of charge. If the new trip prices higher (peak hours, longer distance) you pay the difference; if it prices lower, the difference isn't refunded. Reschedules caused by a cancelled or rebooked flight are not bound by the 48-hour rule — just tell us before the vehicle is dispatched.

QCan my child travel alone? What's required?

We do not carry children under 14 unaccompanied. Minors aged 14 to 17 may travel alone, but a guardian must complete and sign an authorization at booking — naming who receives the child, their relationship, phone number and the exact handover point, plus what we should do if no one shows up. This isn't paperwork for its own sake: it's how we make sure your child is handed to the right person.

QWhich areas do you cover? Can you cross state lines?

Dispatching from New York across 13 East Coast states: NY, NJ, CT, PA, MA, RI, VT, NH, ME, DE, MD, VA and Washington DC. Long-distance interstate trips are routine for us — Boston, Washington DC, Philadelphia and Baltimore among them.

QHow far ahead should I book? Can I book for right now?

Ride-now booking is available: within New York City's five boroughs a car typically arrives about 30 to 60 minutes after you book; elsewhere, please book ahead. That said, airport transfers, school routes and interstate trips are best booked ahead — especially around move-in weeks and holidays, when booking early is what guarantees you a car.

QHow do I pay, and is my booking confirmed after that?

Payment is by credit card online. Your booking locks and confirms the moment payment succeeds, and the confirmation plus receipt are emailed to you automatically. After payment the trip details (time, addresses, vehicle, passengers) can't be edited on your own — use the free reschedule or contact us.

QI'm getting picked up at an airport car rental branch — does that count as an airport transfer?

No. The system reads your pickup point: only an actual terminal is treated as an airport transfer requiring a flight number. Car rental branches inside the airport and hotels next to it count as 'near the airport' and are booked as point-to-point — we won't ask you for a flight number. The price is the same either way.

QHow is an airport transfer priced? Roughly what does it cost?

Enter your pickup, drop-off and time, and the price is calculated on the spot, taxes, tolls and airport fees included. Your online quote includes all fees, and nothing is added after you pay. The only exception is overtime waiting beyond the free waiting time, which the driver collects on site at $1 per minute. Pricing follows the actual route, not the clock — half an hour stuck in traffic costs you nothing extra. School routes have a fixed fare plus tolls on the actual route; fixed routes such as Flushing–JFK are one flat price.

QWhere does my driver wait at the airport, and how do I find them?

Once you have your bags and are through, head to the airport's pickup area and wait at the numbered spot given on your booking. Let your driver know you're there and the car is usually with you in about 10 minutes — large airports don't allow vehicles to sit at the kerb, so the car waits nearby and comes to you once you're in position. That way you're not hunting through traffic for a car, and your driver isn't moved on. If flights are arriving in bulk, or the airport has closures or traffic control in force, it can take a little longer, and your driver stays in contact throughout. Terminal-by-terminal pickup points for JFK, LaGuardia and Newark are covered in the separate guides.

QDo you provide child seats? Do I need to book one in advance?

Yes, and yes. A child seat must be selected as a special service at booking, with the applicable fee — without a reservation we can't guarantee one will be in the car. Note also that child seat and booster requirements differ by state, so on interstate trips please confirm what's required where you start, pass through and finish, and note it at booking.

QHow long is the drive from the airport into the city?

Into Manhattan: roughly 45–75 minutes from JFK, 25–50 from LaGuardia, 40–70 from Newark EWR, all depending on traffic. For Flushing, Brooklyn, Long Island and elsewhere the time follows the actual route, which the system calculates for you at booking. Leave extra room during evening rush and holidays.

QI land late at night or very early — will there be a car?

Yes. Late-night and early-morning flights are covered as normal. Those are exactly the hours when a car is hardest to find and a waiting driver matters most. Book ahead and someone will be there whatever time you land — and a delay changes nothing, since we time the pickup to your actual landing.

QCan I book and communicate in Chinese?

Yes. The site, the booking flow, confirmation and receipt emails all exist in full Chinese, and our support is bilingual — no filling in forms or explaining your trip in a second language. We do have Mandarin-speaking chauffeurs, though we can't guarantee one on every trip, so we put the details in writing on the booking itself rather than leaving them to a curbside conversation.

QIs this safe? What are the drivers licensed to do?

Every chauffeur must hold a commercial passenger licence — not an ordinary private one — and upload it together with their work authorisation and identity documents, each checked before they can take a booking. This isn't someone's private car picking up a fare. The ride is private throughout: one car, one booking, no strangers along the way. Driver and vehicle details sit on your booking, the trip is trackable, and the price and terms are in writing.

QWe're a family with grandparents, kids and a lot of luggage — how does that work?

Just enter the real passenger and bag counts at booking. The system picks the vehicle that seats and fits everyone at the lowest price, upgrading the class or adding a second car automatically when one won't do — all priced before you pay. Travelling with elderly parents or small children? Note it when you book and your chauffeur will help with the bags and the doors at both ends.

QWhat's the easiest way to get between sights in New York? How does hourly hire work?

If you're covering several places in a day — Times Square, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty ferry, the Met, that sort of run — hourly hire is easier and usually cheaper than booking each leg separately. Car and chauffeur stay with you, your things stay in the car, and you stop where you like. Hourly hire starts at 3 hours, with the final price shown before you pay. For a single destination, or just hotel to restaurant, a one-way point-to-point booking is better value.

QCan you help me check flights or book a ticket?

We're happy to look up flight times and connections for you — as a favour, free of charge. It isn't a service we sell. Booking, payment, changes, refunds and ticket issuance all rest with the airline or a proper booking platform: we don't take payment for tickets, don't issue them, and carry no ticketing liability. The ground half is ours — put the flight number on your booking and we'll track the delays.

QIs there Wi-Fi, charging and water in the car?

Yes — Wi-Fi, bottled water, tissues and charging are provided, at no extra cost. They matter most on a long run or when you're travelling with children.

QWho pays the tolls and airport parking? Is any of it extra?

All of it is included in the quote. The total on the website is the final amount you pay, covering every applicable tax, toll and airport fee — your chauffeur will never ask you for toll money on the day. Tolls are calculated on the actual route; for long-distance, casino and school trips, the quote also covers the tolls on the driver's empty return. Only two things sit outside the quote: the gratuity, which is up to you, and waiting beyond the free waiting time ($1 per minute, collected by the driver on site).

QI have a lot of luggage, or skis, golf clubs, an instrument — how does that work?

Enter the real passenger and bag counts when you book and the system picks a vehicle that fits; if one car won't do, it upgrades or adds a second, priced before you pay. For oversized items like skis, golf bags or instruments, note the dimensions when booking so we assign by actual volume rather than discovering it won't fit on the day.

QCan you help an elderly passenger travelling alone, or someone with limited mobility?

Yes. Your chauffeur assists getting in and out, handles the bags and sees the passenger to the door. Note the details when you book so they go into the booking in advance rather than being explained on the day. If specific equipment such as a wheelchair is needed, please say so in the notes or call +1 347-957-6888 first — we don't assume it is carried in the vehicle.

QI'm in Flushing, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Long Island or New Jersey — how do I book?

All are covered: enter your addresses here and the quote is calculated from the real location. Each area has its own page setting out the local fixed-price routes and pickup details. Runs to JFK, LaGuardia and Newark EWR are fixed-price throughout, unaffected by traffic.

QHow do students book an airport pickup with a lot of luggage, going straight to campus?

Enter the flight number and the campus or residence address. Airport-to-campus runs are priced as school routes, and a number of schools are fixed-price. Vehicles are chosen by bag count, upgrading or adding a car if needed. Move-in and move-out weeks are the two hardest weeks of the year to find a car, so book ahead. Students under 18 require online guardian authorization before we can carry them.

QDo you serve the cruise terminals, USCIS offices and Penn Station?

Yes, each with its own page. Both the Manhattan and Brooklyn cruise terminals are priced point to point. For USCIS appointments we work back from your appointment time and wait nearby while you're inside. Penn Station, Grand Central and the Port Authority Bus Terminal are all covered, and station-to-airport runs are fixed-price. Standing restrictions at terminals are strict, so your chauffeur waits at an agreed cross street and calls on arrival.

QHow is a long-distance or interstate charter priced? Can we stop on the way?

Boston, Philadelphia and Washington DC run as fixed-price city routes; other destinations are quoted by distance, with the final amount shown before you pay. If you want to stop en route, note it when booking so it is priced into the trip — stops added on the day may change the price, and putting them in writing first avoids any dispute. Long routes are assigned a vehicle and chauffeur suited to the distance.

QMy flight was cancelled, or I rebooked for another day — what happens to the car?

A delay is not a cancellation: we re-time the pickup to your actual landing at no charge. If a cancelled flight means you need a refund, 10% is retained: we initiate the refund of the balance to your original payment method within 48 hours, and it usually arrives within 5 to 10 business days. If your flight is cancelled or you are rebooked and need a new time, the 48-hour limit does not apply: tell us before the vehicle is dispatched and you can reschedule once for free, to a new time within 30 days. As with any reschedule, if the new trip prices higher you pay the difference; if it prices lower, the difference is not refunded.

QHow do I change or cancel a booking?

Open your booking on the order lookup page with the order number and phone number to review it, then contact us to change or cancel. Cancel more than 48 hours before pickup for a full refund with no fee; within 48 hours there is no refund, and no-shows are not refunded. If we cancel — severe weather making the trip unsafe, for instance — you are refunded in full.

QCould my travel details or contact information be shared?

No. Booking details reach only the chauffeur assigned to your trip, and only what he needs to drive it. We do not sell customer lists, itineraries or contact details to third parties, and do not use them for marketing unrelated to your booking. Our privacy policy sets this out in full.
